4. Worldwide Hug Counter and Data Accuracy
Worldwide hug totals, country totals and accumulated hugging time are calculated using information submitted by website participants.
For the purposes of this website, each recorded hug represents ten seconds of hugging time. This is a standardised calculation, not a measurement of the actual duration of every hug.
The Unheld Holder does not independently verify every submitted hug and does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or continuous availability of the displayed statistics.
5. Copyright and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, original website text, graphics, artwork, branding, original software code and other original creative content belonging to The Unheld Holder are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Unauthorised reproduction or distribution of protected original material may infringe those rights.
The Unheld Holder does not claim exclusive ownership over the general concept of hugging, the mathematical calculation of hugging time, or the general idea of a hug counter.
